Terms of Service

Shard Advisor ("the Service") provides automated analysis of Postgres database schemas and query logs that you voluntarily submit. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
Shard Advisor analyses the schema DDL and, for paid tiers, query-log text that you paste. It produces advisory recommendations generated by a deterministic rule engine. Recommendations are guidance, not guarantees. You are responsible for testing any SQL or migration on a non-production environment before applying it. Always run CREATE INDEX CONCURRENTLY and partitioning migrations in a maintenance window with backups.
2. No database access
The Service never connects to your database. It only processes text you submit. Do not paste credentials, connection strings, or production data values.
3. Payments
Paid tiers are billed via Razorpay (INR) or Stripe (USD). One-time audits are charged once; monitoring is a recurring monthly subscription you may cancel at any time. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Acceptable use
Do not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service. We apply rate limits and may suspend access for abuse.
5. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, data loss, downtime, or losses arising from acting on its recommendations.
6. Changes
